The board of JHYB has decided that in order to ensure the safety of our players, we will be enforcing the new bat rules that went into effect in 2018 for Little League and Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken baseball (which we are a member of). These rules will only apply to the minors and majors right now but will eventually include rookie ball as well.  Only bats with the new USABat stamp on them will be allowed. You can visit to find out more about the rule change and what bats are legal.  JHYB will be buying each minor and major team a bat to help with this transition.  If you are buying a new bat, make sure it has the new stamp on it.

We know some parents are going to be upset because they have purchased bats that will no longer be legal, but know that we are doing this, not only to be in compliance with Cal Ripken baseball, but more importantly to make sure our kids stay safe.  Thank you for your support of JHYB and we look forward to another great year of baseball.

Thanks again,
JHYB Board
